East Lindsey Thrilled About Casino Prospects

The Casino Advisory Panel short lists East Lindsay District for the sixteen smaller casinos. According to the East Lindsey District Council, it is welcome news for the district as it will benefit the local economy.

Nigel Howells, chief executive of East Lindsey, said that the district is expecting more than two hundred jobs available if the East Lindsey scheme will get the approval.

Howells added that not only the casino would be created, but it would provide an entertainment complex and a hotel that offers first class facilities.

According to the chief executive, the local community will be benefited as it will create employment opportunities and tourism will boost the all year economy of the East Lindsey.

Mr. Howells dispels all the fears of negative social impact such as problem gambling as the council will make sure that the gaming venue is run properly.

Thirty one locations were short listed out of the sixty local authorities that had applied for the smaller casinos.

The casino will offer a maximum jackpot of 4,000 UK Pounds.

The proposal document of East Lindsey includes the schemes from Southview Leisure Park, Skegness and Butlins and Fantasy Island in Ingoldmells.

The licenses are due to be given by December.
